Little League World Series: Team Canada eliminated

The dream run is over for Vancouver’s Little Mountain Little Leaguers, who were beaten 4-2 despite a desperate rally in the sixth inning on Tuesday and were eliminated from the title fight by a well-placed team from Willemstad, Curacao.

Canada, who had previously defeated North Brisbane (Australia) 7-0 and Takarazuka (Japan) 6-0 at the 75th Little League World Series, then looked cold at bat in a 10-0 loss to Matamoros (Mexico). will. The Vancouver side had just five stray goals against Curacao.

Lucas Weisser, the starting pitcher for Canada, worked 3.2 innings and had three strikeouts. Unfortunately, he gave up six walks, allowing Curacao to post some early runs. Curacao plays Managua, the capital of Nicaragua, on Wednesday. Curaçao started their tournament by beating Nicaragua 2-0, but then lost 9-3 to Panama and bounced back with a thrilling 1-0 win over Italy.


BASELINES: Reangelo Decaster was the winning pitcher. The right-hander lasted four innings, allowing one hit and no runs while striking out six. Oshondrickson Doran and Davey-Jay Rijke came out of the bullpen and helped close the game with relief. Davey-Jay recorded the last three outs to earn the save.
