Twitter CEO says staff whistleblower claims ‘inaccurate’ – internal meeting


On Wednesday, Twitter chief executive Parag Agrawal moved to reassure employees, calling a whistleblower’s accusations “fundamentally, technically and historically inaccurate” during a company-wide meeting, including the audio was heard by Reuters.

Twitter’s general counsel, Sean Edgett, also told employees that the company proactively reached out to various agencies around the world before the news broke.

Former Twitter security chief Peiter Zatko said in a whistleblower complaint that the social media company misled federal regulators about its defenses against hackers and spam accounts.
