Juventus boss Allegri says he doesn’t feel ‘endangered’ after Benfica defeat.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri said he did not see his job in jeopardy despite losing 2-1 at home to Benfica for their second straight Champions League defeat on Wednesday.

Juventus have lost their opening two games of the Champions League group stage for the first time and lie eighth in Serie A, four points behind leaders Napoli after six games.

When asked about the position at the club after Wednesday’s loss, Allegri told Prime Video: “I don’t feel threatened at all.

“These moments are part of football. It’s the first time we’ve lost two games in a row in the Champions League.

“When the score was 2-1 it was game over, they could have made it 3-1 or 4-1. We could have drawn, but it was a performance that fell short of expectations,” he added.

Juve travel next in the league to Monza on Sunday.
