Forest waste leads again in defeat to Fulham

NOTTINGHAM, England: Nottingham Forest gambled away a lead in their second consecutive Premier League game as they slipped to a 3-2 Premier League defeat at home to Fulham on Friday.

Taiwo Awoniyi gave Forest the perfect start when he headed them ahead after 11 minutes from a Ryan Yates corner.

But Fulham struck three times in six minutes early in the second half to turn the game on its head.

Tosin Adarabioyo headed the equalizer from a Willian cross in the 54th minute and three minutes later Joao Palhinha found the top corner with a superb left-footed shot.

Forest were on sixes and sevens and Fulham scored again when Harrison Reed fired home from a Bobby De Cordova-Reid cross.

Lewis O’Brien gave Forest hope with a shot in the 77th minute, but Steve Cooper’s side couldn’t salvage a point.

Forest, who lost 2-0 to Bournemouth in their last game, are bottom on four points.

Fulham, who were promoted from the Championship with Forest last season, moved up to sixth on 11 points.
