Post Malone was performing at the Enterprise Center in downtown St. Louis when he fell.
Concert-goer Tana Cantrell told CNN the accident happened about an hour after her performance began.
“At the time, from my angle, it looked like he had just collapsed on stage, grabbing the middle of his chest,” Cantrell said. “You could see in his face and body how much pain he was in and that’s when I knew it was bad. His legs were shaking in pain.”
“From other angles you could see there was a hole in the stage that he had fallen into when they put his guitar down and they didn’t get the floor back in time,” Cantrell added.
After about 10 minutes, Post Malone got up with the help of others and went to take a break, according to Cantrell. Once back on stage, he apologized several times before ending the show, Cantrell said.
Dr. London praised the rapper for finishing the show “Posty-style.”
“I really don’t know any artists like him,” the Instagram post continued.
“We just got home from the hospital and everything is fine,” Post Malone said in the video. “They gave me painkillers and stuff, so we could keep kicking ass on the tour.”
