<p style="text-align: justify;">সামনেই লোকসভা নির্বাচন। তার আগে গম্ভীরের এই পোস্ট কিন্তু ইঙ্গিতবহ। তবে কি বিজেপি ছাড়ছেন প্রাক্তন বাঁহাতি ওপেনার? উল্লেখ্য, ২০১৯ লোকসভা নির্বাচনে পূর্ব দিল্লি থেকে বিজেপির হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছিলেন গম্ভীর। সেবার ভোটে প্রায় সাত লক্ষের কাছাকাছি ভোটে জয় ছিনিয়ে নিয়েছিলেন প্রাক্তন ক্রিকেটার। রাজনীতির পাশাপাশি ক্রিকেটে ধারাভাষ্য়কার হিসেবে দায়িত্ব সামলেছেন। আইপিএলে লখনউ সুপারজায়ান্টস দলের মেন্টর হিসেবে কাজ করেছেন। গত নিলামের আগে <a title="কেকেআর" href="https://bengali.abplive.com/topic/kkr" data-type="interlinkingkeywords">কেকেআর</a>ের ফের যোগ দেন মেন্টর হিসেবে। আর এবার রাজনীতির মঞ্চ ছেড়ে দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিলেন।</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">সরাসরি রাজনীতি ছাড়ার বা বিজেপি ছাড়ার বিষয়ে কিছু বলেননি গম্ভীর। তবে রাজনৈতিক কাজ থেকে অব্যাহতি মানে কি দল বা সাংসদ পদ থেকেও সরে দাঁড়ানো? সেই প্রশ্ন উঠছে। কেকেআরের সঙ্গে যোগ দেওয়ায় লোকসভা নির্বাচনের প্রস্তুতিপর্বে মোদি বাহিনীর সৈনিক হিসেবে কতটা কাজ করতে পারবেন গম্ভীর, তা নিয়ে সংশয় দেখা গিয়েছিল আগেই। এমনকী কানাঘুষো তো শোনা যাচ্ছিল যে এবারের নির্বাচনে হয়ত টিকিট নাও পেতে পারেন।</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">দেশের জার্সিতে ২০০৭ সালের টি-টোয়েন্টি বিশ্বকাপে সর্বােচ্চ রান করেছিলেন গম্ভীর। ২০১১ ওয়ান ডে বিশ্বকাপের ফাইনালেও সবচেয়ে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ৯৭ রানের ইনিংস খেলেছিলেন দিল্লির এই প্রাক্তন ওপেনার। দেশের জার্সিতে ২০০৩ সালে আন্তর্জাতিক ক্রিকেটে অভিষেক। ২০১৬ সালে শেষবার দেশের জার্সিতে খেলেছিলেন। আইপিএলে ২০১৮ সাল পর্যন্ত খেলেছিলেন। উল্লেখ্য, আগামী ২২ মার্চ থেকে শুরু আইপিএল। ২৩ তারিখ ঘরের মাঠে সানরাইজার্সের বিরুদ্ধে প্রথম ম্য়াচে ইডেন গার্ডেন্সে খেলতে নামবে কেকেআর।</p>
