She wakes up in her silk pajamas around 4 a.m. every day. (5am would be late, she said). She does Pilates, takes showers, answers emails, and then starts putting out the fires that come with dealing with multiple bumps that happen to be your kids.
She’s quick to remind you of — and expertly hook up — the various businesses that make up the Kardashian-Jenner empire.
“You know, the girls have so many different businesses, from Kylie Cosmetics to Skims, to Good American, Kim’s new skincare line, and 818 and Poosh — it’s all, you know, constantly changing” , she says.
The night before, she went to a dinner party for Kim’s skincare line, SKKN, she said, “which was gorgeous.”
Following the family’s entrepreneurial endeavors, made famous through their E! the reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” and various spinoffs, isn’t easy these days — and, therefore, neither is keeping up with Jenner.
That day, she even connects her own partnership with Amazon Glow, a device designed for kids that she says helps her play games and video chat with her many grandchildren.
“I can spend quality time and do things with the grandkids that I can’t do when I can’t see them in person,” she says, adding that it helps establish a “meaningful connection.”
“You experience the business side and the personal side, and then you see what each of us does singularly, which I think is important,” she says.
With all the meetings and filming filling her days, Jenner admits to occasionally missing a call or two from her kids.
“Decline?” she laughs, asked if she’s ever hit the “ignore” button on a call from one of her kids during office hours. “Well, it depends on the day.”
The grandchildren, however, get the VIP treatment.
“I would never ignore a call from my grandkids. It would probably stop me in my tracks and I want to face whatever they do and get into lovey [her grandmother nickname] time,” she said. “I could ignore a call from the kids, but that’s probably 99.9 percent of the time I’ll answer.”
She adds, “Sometimes if I’m on Zoom it’s a little easier to text back, you know what I mean? I was in a meeting yesterday and I picked up the phone. I had to walk out of the room multiple times when Kylie called in. So, you know, you never know who’s got what’s going on.
“I don’t know. I don’t know what I’m supposed to share with you right now about this,” she laughs. “So, I’ll just wait for that.”
“You know what? I never say anything,” she said. “So I don’t know. I’ll never close the door, Corey and I have such a good relationship and we have so much fun and we’ve been together a really long time. And we’re having a great time.”
