Hasnain replaces injured Afridi in Pakistan’s Asia Cup squad

LAHORE, Pakistan: Mohammad Hasnain will replace injured fast bowler Shaheen Afridi in Pakistan’s squad for the Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Monday.

Tempo spearhead Afridi is recovering from a knee injury he sustained in Sri Lanka last month and has been sidelined from Twenty20 competition.

Hasnain, 22, currently plays for the Oval Invincibles in the Hundred competition in England.

Former champions Pakistan begin their Asian Cup campaign on August 28 in a blockbuster against arch-rivals India in Dubai.
