Zac Efron has heard of speculation that he altered his face through plastic surgery, but he says that’s not close to the truth.
“It was funny,” he told “Entertainment Tonight” of people thinking he had gone under the knife. “It sucks. I almost died, but we’re fine.
While promoting his new movie, ‘The Greatest Beer Run Ever’, Efron shut down the rumors as he was actually injured. The actor reportedly broke his jaw and had to shut it after slipping in a puddle near his home.
One of his relatives told him that there was a rumor on the street that he had undergone plastic surgery.
“My mother told me,” he said. “I never really read the internet, so I don’t care.”
Viewers can see his face, along with those of his teammates Bill Murray and Russell Crowe, in the new film in which he plays a man who, in 1967, travels to Vietnam to bring beer to his childhood buddies who fight for the army during the war.
It will premiere September 30 on Apple TV+.
