Or so I tell myself as I wait for delicious takeaways to help me write this newsletter.
A girl has to eat, so grab something to snack on and join me for this week’s Pop Life roundup.
It’s easy to get bored with single life these days, because it’s tough on these dating streets. And a career in the courtroom isn’t soothing either.
“She-Hulk” is streaming now on Disney+.
‘House of the Dragon’
Don’t bother “Game of Thrones” fans on Sunday.
You can watch it on HBO and HBO Max (which is owned by CNN parent company Warner Bros. Discovery).
“Bad Sisters”
If a dark, heart-pounding comedy is your cup of tea, this is for you.
The titular ‘Bad Sisters’ here are the five Garvey siblings, bonded by childhood trauma – and a vow to care for each other amid an inquest into the death of one of their husbands.
Based on the Flemish series “Clan”, the acting is top notch and the scenery in Ireland is to die for. See what I just did there?
The first two episodes of the limited series debut are now streaming on Apple TV+.
Two things to listen to
“Holy Fvck”, Demi Lovato has new music coming out.
The 16-track album is now out.
Let’s go dancing.
Panic! at the Disco has been giving us joy for years, and this latest album is no different.
“Viva Las Vengeance” was released on Friday, with the title paying homage to the act’s beginnings as a Las Vegas pop rock quartet.
Today, it’s frontman Brendon Urie’s solo project, but the jams of Panic! always move the fans.
“Viva Las Vengeance” debuted on Friday.

“When are you going to have a baby?”
Newlyweds can tell you that this is a question that can sometimes arise right from the wedding reception and is not always welcome.
More often than not, it’s a question directed at women, so it was nice to see former “Bachelor” Ben Higgins having to grapple with curiosity about when he and his wife, Jessica Clarke, plan to start a family during a recent interview.
Plus, he said, they’re already raising a puppy. As a dog parent, I know how hard it can be – kids grow up and eventually become independent, but dogs never do.
something to sip
Leave it to the brilliant Diane Keaton to bring us what is essentially “13 Going on 30” for the Instagram era.
The 76-year-old actor stars alongside Elizabeth Lail, along with Taylour Paige, Loretta Devine, Lois Smith and “Schitt’s Creek” alum Dustin Milligan, among others, in the new comedy “Mack & Rita.”
Lail plays Mack, a 30-year-old influencer who feels like an old soul. Naturally, she finds herself in the body of her eldest, Rita, played by Keaton.
Much has been made of how Hollywood celebrates youth, sometimes to the detriment – and erasure – of older performers. But with Keaton and projects like “Mack & Rita,” it’s easy to see why the “coastal grandma” aesthetic took hold.
