3 killed in Brampton car crash were teenage siblings: police

The three people killed in a violent car crash in Brampton on Saturday were teenage siblings.

Peel police confirmed the detail to CTV News Toronto on Monday morning, adding that those killed were 16, 17 and 19 years old.

Emergency crews were called to Elmvale Avenue and Conestoga Drive shortly after 2 a.m. for a single-vehicle collision.

Police said a vehicle crashed into a tree in the area and burst into flames. When the fire was extinguished, three occupants of the vehicle were located and pronounced dead at the scene.

Prior to the collision, police believe the white Honda Civic was traveling south and left the road for an unknown reason.

The front of the vehicle sustained significant damage from the impact and a large amount of debris could be seen strewn across the crash site.
