The Montreal Alouettes say full-back Christophe Normand has been suspended pending the outcome of a tantalizing investigation.
Court documents show Normand is facing two charges of luring a child, including one charge of luring a child under the age of 16.
Provincial Police Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau said Normand, 30, was arrested on the morning of August 19 after a search of his home by police investigators.
He appeared in court on Thursday.
Normand is a seven-year veteran in the CFL and is currently in his third season with Montreal.
More to come.
