Two children killed in Hamilton ATV accident


Two children have died following an ATV accident in Hamilton, Ontario.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday, Hamilton police responded to a call for EMS and fire assistance near Miles and Airport Roads in the community of Binbrook.

Police said that despite the lifesaving measures taken, the children succumbed to their injuries in hospital.

Hamilton paramedics confirmed to CP24 that they had transported two pediatric patients to hospital without vital signs. They also said they took an adult patient to hospital in stable condition.

Hamilton Fire Deputy Deputy Chief Ryan Coburn said the incident was a police matter and they would not comment on it.

In a tweet, Hamilton Police Superintendent Treena MacSween said the service was “heartbroken by this tragic incident.”

“Our thoughts and prayers are with family, friends and first responders during this difficult time,” she wrote. This investigation is ongoing.
