South African mobile operator MTN Group said on Thursday its first-half profits jumped 46.5% on the back of rising subscriber numbers.
MTN, which operates in Africa and the Middle East, reported overall earnings per share, the primary measure of earnings in South Africa, of 567 cents in the six months to June 30, from 387 cents a year earlier.
